Overview
MyPantryChef is designed with privacy in mind. The app requires no account, collects no personal information, and stores your recipes and pantry data locally on your device. We use anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Data stored on your device
All recipes, pantry items, shopping lists, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device except as described below.
Data sent to third parties
When you use AI features, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing via our server-side proxy hosted on Cloudflare Workers:
This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS. Anthropic processes this data according to their API terms and does not train their models on it by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Our Cloudflare Workers proxy may log standard request metadata (timestamps, request paths) for operational purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not store your Chef conversations or imported recipe content on our servers.
Anonymous analytics

The analytics include things like:
